Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur Challenges Guide (2024)

With a new League comes new challenges and microtransaction rewards to earn for free. For this League, there are 40 challenges to tackle and clear. After beating 12, 24, 32, 34 and 36 challenges, you will earn the Runebind Weapon Effect, Rune Character Effect, Kalguuran Cloak, Verisium Knight Unique Finisher Effect and the Kingsmarch Portal respectively. As you progress through the League challenges, you’ll gain pieces of the Settlers Totem Pole Hideout Decoration.

Since there’s lots of league challenges to take on, with each spanning multiple Legacy Leagues, this guide will list each achievement and how you can clear them.

Beginner's Basics

Complete each of the following tasks.

• Equip a magic flask.
• Use an Orb of Alchemy.
• Kill a Rare Monster, which is indicated by their yellow names and auras.
• Fully clear the Fetid Pool. Quest: A Dirty Job, Act 1. Start by talking to Tarkleigh.

Starting Settlements

Complete the following Settlers League tasks:

• Enter Kingsmarch.
• Find the Raulf, the Recruiter in Kingsmarch. Then hire 3 workers byusing the gold you’ve collected. Each worker will have different skills and costs.
• Obtain 1,000 gold in the Kingsmarch Treasury at once. Gold can be found throughout Wraeclast by defeating monsters, completing quests, and looting chests.
• Establish 4 Kingsmarch Jobs. In Kingsmarch, there are various NPCs who can help you establish jobs like mining, farming, smelting, and disenchanting.

Peddler's Produce I

Complete vendor recipes to receive each of the following items. To create an item using a vendor recipe, you must give a vendor the requisite items in order to craft one.

• A Topaz, Sapphire or Ruby Ring
  • Ruby Ring (normal) recipe: 1 Iron Ring + 1 red gem.
  • Topaz Ring (normal) recipe: 1 Iron Ring + 1 green gem.
  • Sapphire Ring (normal) recipe: 1 Iron Ring + 1 blue gem.

• Agate, Turquoise or Citrine Amulet
  • Agate Amulet recipe: 1 Amber Amulet + 1 Lapis Amulet + 1 Orb of Transmutation.
  • Turquoise Amulet recipe: 1 Jade Amulet + 1 Lapis Amulet + 1 Orb of Transmutation.
  • Citrine Amulet recipe: 1 Amber Amulet + 1 Jade Amulet + 1 Orb of Transmutation.

• Onyx Amulet.
  • Onyx Amulet (normal) recipe: 1 amulet + 1 red gem + 1 green gem + 1 blue gem.

• Magic-tier Boots with 10% increased Movement Speed
  • Magic-tier Boots recipe: 1 Normal-tier Boots + 1 Any rarity Quicksilver Flask + 1 Orb of Augmentation.

Act Adversaries I

Complete each of the following encounters:

• Merveil, the Twisted in Act 1
• Vaal Oversoul in Act 2
• Dominus, Ascendant in Act 3
• Malachai, The Nightmare in Act 4
• Kitava, the Insatiable in Act 5

All you need to do is simply progress through the story as normal.

Antagonistic Acts

Complete each of the following encounters.

• Defeat a monster holding an Essence. Essence monsters are frozen in place and surrounded by glowing crystals. These monsters can be found randomly in various zones.
• Complete a Legion Encounter. Legion encounters are triggered by interacting with a Monolith, which can be found randomly in zones.
• Open a Strongbox. Strongboxes are scattered throughout various zones. They look like large chests and can be easily spotted.
• Complete a Ritual. Ritual encounters are marked by altars found in various zones.

Basic Beginnings

Finish each of the following tasks for Kingsmarch in Settlers of Kalguur.

• Complete a s Establish a harbor: Ensure you have built the harbor in Kingsmarch, which is necessary for sending shipments.
• Obtain 1,000 of any Bar in your Kingsmarch stockpile at once. Establish Mining and Smelting Operations: Ensure you have set up mining facilities to extract ores and smelting facilities to convert them into bars.
• Obtain 1,000 of any crop in your Kingsmarch stockpile at once. Set Up farms by establishing farming plots in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing crops. Choose a crop that you can easily cultivate.
• Disenchant an item using a Disenchanting Station.
• Use any Runesmithing Craft.

Act Adversaries II

Complete each of the following encounters.

• Tsoagoth, The Brine King in Act 6
• Arakaali, Spinner of Shadows in Act 7
• Lunaris, Eternal Moon and Solaris, Eternal Sun in Act 8
• The Depraved Trinity in Act 9
• Kitava, the Insatiable in Act 10

Powerful Prey

Complete each of the following quests.

• The Great White Beast in The Den during Act 2.
• Sever the Right Hand. Talk to Maramoa in The Sarn Encampment during Act 3 after you have completed the Lost in Love quest.
• The Gemling Legion. Talk to Maramoa in The Sarn Encampment during Act 8
• Fastis Fortuna. Talk to Petarus and Vanja in Highgate during Act 9

Atlas Augmentations

Complete at least three of the following League Mechanics:

• Defeat 30 Essence monsters. Essence monsters are frozen in place and surrounded by glowing crystals. They can be found randomly in maps and zones.
• Open 30 Strongboxes. Strongboxes are scattered throughout various maps and zones. They look like large chests and can be found easily.
• Activate 30 Shrines. Shrines grant powerful buffs when activated. They can be found in maps and various zones.
• Defeat 30 Harbingers. Harbingers are blue, spectral enemies that summon waves of monsters. They can be found in maps and specific areas.
• Defeat 30 Possessed Monsters. Possessed monsters are enemies that have been taken over by a tormented spirit, making them stronger and more dangerous.
• Defeat 30 Rogue Exiles. Rogue Exiles are powerful enemies that can spawn in maps and zones. They are usually marked on the map with a special icon.
• Defeat 30 Rare Beyond Monsters. Beyond monsters can be spawned by killing enemies close together in maps with the Beyond modifier.

Meaningful Mechanics

Complete at least four of the following Legacy League encounters:

• Complete 30 Breaches. Breaches are activated by interacting with a Breach Hand, found randomly in maps.
• Complete 30 Abysses. Abysses are found randomly in maps, indicated by a green crack in the ground.
• Complete 30 Expeditions. Expeditions are marked by flags and can be found in maps. Interact with the markers to place explosives, then detonate them to uncover buried monsters and chests.
• Harvest 100 Plots. Harvest encounters are accessed through portals to the Sacred Grove found in maps.
• Complete 30 Legion Encounters. Legion encounters are triggered by interacting with Monoliths found in maps.
• Open 30 Smuggler's Caches. Smuggler’s Caches are found randomly in maps.
• Pass through 30 Mirrors of Delirium. Mirrors are found randomly in maps and create a Delirium encounter.
• Complete 200 Ultimatum Waves. Ultimatum encounters are triggered by interacting with Altars found in maps. Accept the challenge and survive the waves of monsters. Each wave gets progressively harder.
• Complete 30 Blights. Blight encounters are triggered by interacting with Blight growths found in maps. Build defensive towers to stop the flow of monsters. Defend the pump from being destroyed.
• Complete 100 Rituals. Ritual encounters are marked by Altars

found in maps. Activate the Altar and defeat the waves of monsters. Complete all the Rituals in the area.

Proven Professionals

Complete at least two of the following Master Missions in Red or Purple Tier maps.

• 30 Niko Missions. Niko missions typically involve entering the Azurite Mine via a Sulphite vein found in maps. Locate and collect Voltaxic Sulphite deposits in the map. These deposits are guarded by monsters, so be prepared for combat.
• 30 Einhar Missions. In Einhar missions, your objective is to capture rare beasts that Einhar marks. These beasts are stronger than regular monsters.
• 30 Jun Missions. Jun missions involve investigating the Immortal Syndicate. You will need to defeat Syndicate members and make choices about their fate.
• 30 Alva Missions. Alva missions involve exploring the Temple of Atzoatl through Incursions. Each Incursion modifies the final Temple layout.

Refined Reagents

Have the following resources and amounts in your Kingsmarch Stockpile:

• 1,000 Wheat. Establish a farm in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing Wheat.
• 1,000 Corn. Set up a farm in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing Corn.
• 1,000 Pumpkin. Set up a farm in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing Pumpkin.
• 1,000 Orgourd. Set up a farm in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing Orgourd.
• 1,000 Blue Zanthimum. Set up a farm in Kingsmarch dedicated to growing Blue Zanthimum.
• 1,000 Crimson Iron Bars. Crimson Iron deposits have veins of iron that are overrun with corruption. Interacting with it will bloom several Corrupted Growths will continuously spawn "Ravenous" demon enemies; defeat all of the Corrupted Growths to mine Crimson Iron.
• 1,000 Orichalcum Bars. Orichalcum deposits contain a demonic shrine-like altar which can summon Beyond demons that worship it.
• 1,000 Petrified Amber Bars. Petrified Amber deposits attract packs of Blighted enemies that must be defeated before it can be collected.
• 1,000 Bismuth Bars. Bismuth deposits are surrounded by packs of monsters, and interacting with the deposit can add elemental monster modifiers to all magic and rare monsters in the area. Monsters from league mechanics have a reduced chance to gain a modifier.
• 1,000 Verisium Bars. Verisium deposits require players to hold and release (similar to a Crucible Forge) to increase the difficulty and rewards of monsters that spawn from it. The rarity, damage, and damage reduction of monsters increase as you channel.
• 20,000 Thaumaturgic Dust. The primary method of obtaining Thaumaturgic Dust is through the disenchanting process.

Crafty Currency

Use each of the following Currency items:

• Orb of Transmutation

• Clear 5 Breachstones. Breachstones can be obtained through Breach encounters and Breachlords.
• Clear 5 Abyssal Depths. Look for Abysses in maps, which can lead to Abyssal Depths.
• Finish 5 Logbooks with 10 Remnants active. Logbooks can be found in Expedition encounters. Activate Remnants: Use explosives to activate at least 10 Remnants in each Logbook encounter.
• Finish 5 Tier 4 Harvest Seeds. Engage in Harvest encounters and grow seeds to Tier 4.
• Clear 3 Domains of Timeless Conflict with at least 25 rewards.
• Acquire 5 Blueprints with 4 revealed wings. Obtain Blueprints from Heist encounters. Use Rogue Markers to reveal all four wings of the Blueprint.
• Complete 60 Simulacrum Waves. Collect Simulacrum Splinters from Delirium encounters.Use the map device to open Simulacrum and complete waves.
• Complete 3 Trialmaster fights. Find and complete Ultimatum encounters to summon the Trialmaster.
• Clear 5 Blighted or Blight Ravaged Maps. Obtain Blighted Maps from Blight encounters.
• Clear all Rituals in Maps with at least one Blood-filled Vessel applied 15 times. Obtain Blood-filled Vessels from Ritual encounters.
• Apply Vessels: Use the map device to apply Blood-filled Vessels and complete Rituals.

Divined Destiny

Complete at least three of the following Diviniation Card tasks.

• Open Diviners Strongboxes (0/5). Diviners Strongboxes are special containers found in maps that, when opened, release Divination Cards along with a host of monsters. These boxes are a valuable source of Divination Cards, which can be turned in for various rewards.

• Turn in sets of Divination Cards at least 50 times. Divination Cards are items that drop from monsters and strongboxes. Collecting a full set allows you to exchange them for valuable items such as currency, unique items, or powerful gear.

• Complete 25 Rare Tier 11 or higher Maps with at least one Divination Scarab applied. Divination Scarabs are consumable items that you can apply to maps to increase the drop rate of Divination Cards within that map. They come in different tiers, each providing a greater effect.

• Scry a Map. Scrying is a unique interaction in Path of Exile that involves using special items or crafting methods to gain insight or alter maps, enhancing their rewards or changing their properties.

• Betrayal Encounters: Engage in Betrayal encounters to obtain Scarabs from Syndicate members. Focus on targeting and manipulating Syndicate members who drop Scarabs.
• Delve: Explore the Azurite Mine in Delve to find hidden caches and chests that can contain Scarabs.
• Map Drops: Scarabs can also drop from monsters and chests in maps, especially in high-tier maps with increased quantity and rarity modifiers.

Gleaming Gems

Complete each of the following Gem tasks.

• Level 10 gems to level 20
• Use 40 Gemcutter Prisms.
• Turn in a set of divination cards that reward a Gem that is Level 21 or at 23% Quality
• Use the Divine Font in the Endless Labyrinth 10 times

Cross Contamination

Complete at least four of the following Legacy League mechanics.
